The school is registered with the Indian Air Force Educational and Cultural Society. The school was set up in 1975 with merely 42 children to provide education to the wards of service personnel and tiny tots of adjoining areas.

Since, the school has grown leaps and bounds. currently, the school has 311 students on its roll.

The school leaves no stone unturned to provide the burgeoning educational demand of wards of all the air warriors and another prioritized group (as enumerated in the education code 2020) Presently, the school has nine sections- Four in LKG, Five in UKG in pre-primary, and a single section each in classes one and two.

NOTICE REVISION OF AGE CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION: AIR FORCE SCHOOL OJHAR 1. The minimum/ maximum age limit of the child as on 01 Apr of the academic year in which admission is sought for admission to LKG, UKG, Class I & II in Air Force Schools has been revised as mentioned below and shall be implemented wef academic session 2023-24 CLASS NEW AGE CRITERIA LKG 04-06 years UKG 05-07 years Class I 06-08 years Class II 07-09 years 2. Students of LKG, UKG, Class I & Class II who took admission in Air Force School Ojhar in AY 22-23, who don't fall under the above mentioned age criteria, will become underage for promotion to next higher class for AY 23-24. These students according will have an option to either repeat the current class or skip one year until attaining the minimum qualifying age for admission to next class or opt for transfer certificate.
